Social login data. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) from that provider.

We automatically collect certain information when you use our app, including:

  • IP address, device type, operating system, and language preferences
  • Approximate location (derived from IP address)
  • App usage patterns, feature interactions, and activity timestamps

  • Consent — where you have given explicit permission. You may withdraw at any time.
  • Contract performance — to fulfill our obligations to you.
  • Legitimate interests — when reasonably necessary and not outweighed by your rights (e.g., analytics, fraud prevention).
  • Legal obligations — where required by law.
  • Vital interests — to protect someone's safety.

Canada

We process your information with your express or implied consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Section 04
When and With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. All third parties are required to protect your data and restrict use to our instructions.

Service providers we use

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Google Sign-In / Apple Sign In — authentication
  • RevenueCat / Apple Pay — subscription billing

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website traffic analytics on glimser.com (uses cookies)

Our website (glimser.com) uses Google Analytics cookies to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. You can opt out through your browser settings or Google's opt-out tools. This applies to the website only, not the app.

Business transfers

We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

Section 05
AI-Based Products

Glimser offers AI-powered features including virtual try-on (Fashn.ai) and outfit suggestions (Anthropic Claude). When you use these features, your photos and personal information may be processed by our AI service providers as described in Section 4.

You agree not to use AI features in ways that violate the terms or policies of our underlying AI providers. All personal information processed through AI features is handled in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

Section 5A
Face and Photo Data

What we collect. To use Virtual Try-On, you choose to upload or capture photos. These photos may contain your face and body. We only collect photos you actively provide for this purpose.

How it is used. Your photos are used for one purpose only: to generate your AI virtual try-on images (placing a garment on you). We do not create a facial-recognition template or "faceprint," we do not use your photos to identify or authenticate you, and we do not use them for advertising, marketing, or tracking.

Sharing and storage. To generate a try-on, your photo is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) to our virtual try-on processor, Fashn.ai, which processes it under our instructions solely to return the try-on result. It is not sold, not shared with data brokers or advertisers, and not used to identify you. Your uploaded photos and generated try-on results are stored in your personal account on our infrastructure provider, Supabase.

Retention and deletion. We retain your photos and try-on results only for as long as you keep them in your account. You can delete individual photos and results in the app at any time, and deleting your account permanently erases all of them. See glimser.com/delete-account. We do not retain face or photo data beyond what is necessary to provide the service or as required by law.

Section 06
How Do We Handle Social Logins?

If you register or sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider (typically your name, email, and profile picture). We use this information only for purposes described in this Privacy Notice. We do not control how third-party providers handle your data — please review their privacy policies directly.

Section 07
International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Our servers are located in the United States and South Korea.

For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we implement appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Similar safeguards are in place with all our third-party providers. You may request details by contacting us.

Section 08
How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law. In general, we do not retain personal information beyond the period you maintain an active account.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your information, we delete or anonymize it. If immediate deletion is not possible (e.g., data in backup archives), we securely store and isolate it until deletion is feasible.

Section 09
How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure. While we do our best, transmission of data to and from our services is at your own risk. We recommend using our services only within secure environments.

Section 10
Information from Minors

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). By using our services, you confirm you are at least 18, or that you are a parent or guardian consenting to a minor's use.

If we learn we have collected data from a user under 18, we will deactivate the account and delete the data promptly. Please notify us at privacy@glimser.com if you believe we have such data.

  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Data portability (where applicable)
